What makes it useful
The practical value is in handling high-volume, repetitive inputs that follow a predictable pattern. Anything unpredictable still needs human oversight.
Where operators use it
Most operators start with one automation (missed call text-back, appointment reminders, or invoice delivery) and expand from there once they trust the system.
Where it breaks
It fails when inputs vary too much, when the stakes of a wrong output are high, or when the "data" it needs is locked in someone's head rather than a system.
Getting started
Map the manual process first. Write it as if you're training someone on the job. That document becomes your automation spec.
